How to dismantle Epson Stylus Color 600?

P

Psaiyan

As a final effort at unclogging the print heads on my Espon Stylus
Color 600 (before I throw it in the trash), I am going to attempt to
dismantle the printer and attempt to manually clean them.

I have removed the casing and the cartridges, but I do not wish to go
further without knowing exactly what steps to take in
dismantling/removing the black plastic carriage assembly and accessing
the heads.

Your help would be appreciated. I really need someone to walk me
through it... :)

Not really worth fixing---IMHO.

I had a 600 that refused to die. I printed 1000's of pix with
it---it would occassionally clog and always clear itself. Finally, I
could not get it to work and I gave it to my son. He said it worked
fine.

For general printing, you can get inkjets statring around $50---repair
of the 600 just doesn't seem worth it

It'll be worth it for me if I can get it working for the cost of a
little isopropyl alcohol and save $50 (or even £29.04 British pounds
for that matter)... ;)

Being skint sucks.

Dear Communist

As a rule placing a plastic film under the print heads, as to not
getting any water etc. in the printer
insert a wet paper towel or whatever under the nozzles, leave it soak, Voila

Hope it helps
