How to disable XML in FP 2003

Is there an option to disable XML in web pages created by FP 2003? Any user
that views my web pages with any browser other than IE6 is missing the
ability to use the links that I have on my webpages. This is also true for
Netscape and FF browsers. I can see in the HTML for those pages that FP 2003
inserts a bunch of xml "stuff" that converts my links into html comments.
This was not true with prior versions of FP. If you want to check it out, go
to www.thejabsclan.com and do a view source. Please Help. Thanks.

This is the Word Art you have used - it's not cross-browser (only works in
IE). If you want other browsers to be able to see that stuff, you must not
use Word Art....

Don't use; WordArt/Autoshapes/Draw as these use VML which is IE browsers
only, other browsers will see nothing or replace with low level gifs.

Thanks for your reply. Are you saying that by the use of word art in FP
2003 causes all browsers except IE6 to disable my href links?
My claim is that when I generate this same web page in versions of FP
earlier than FP 2003, that the href links work fine because these links are
not touched by any xml wrapper; BUT when FP 2003 generates the web page, it
encloses the href links inside of html comment tags that deal with XML source
code, so that when browsers such as netscape 7 or FF display the web page,
the links are inoperative. Is this really related to the use of word art in
FP 2003?

What happens in the non-IE browsers is that the href links show up as plain
text rather than showing up as href links. Are you saying that FP creates
something called VML that causes these href links to appear as plain text and
not href links? Do you consider that a bug? I obviously have no control over
which browsers people use to view these web pages. It might make just a
little logical sense if FP put in some kind of conditional code such that if
the browser were not IE, then FP would keep its VML paws off of my href
links? What do you think?

another part of the equation is you are on a linux box and are using spaces
in folder/file names...they will appear as %20 in folder/file names...you
need to remove them. Stick to lowercase, no spaces in folder and file names.

Thanks for the reply. As far as I know there are no linux penguins as part
of this glitch. FP is running on my windoze home pc. But the problem is
not that the link is failing, the problem is that the text does not even show
up as a link on some browsers; i.e., when you mouse-over the text, the mouse
cursor does not change to the "hand" that signifies an href link, nor does
clicking the text cause the browser to actually execute the link, because in
netscape 7.1 the href has vanished poof, and in the FF browser, the href got
commented out by the vml conditional logic created by FP.
