How to disable V-J Header Compression for RAS PPP server on Windows XP?

Hi,

I found a KB article: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/q169191/,
describing how to do this on Windows NT 3.51 and 4.0. I tried the
method of this article, which requires editing the registry, on Windows
XP but it doesn't seem to work. How could I disable the VJ header
compression for RAS server on Windows XP? Anybody have any clue about
this?

BTW, some books on Windows XP also suggest the method of kb169191 for
the config. Is it because other settings somewhere else in the system
could override the settings in registry?
