How to disable incoming calls

I need to know how to turn off or disable the feature
that allows incoming calls in turn giving you the
opportunity to put your internet connection on hold while
you take the call it mainly can disrupt a modem
connection. can anyone help?

I've seen advertisements that allow this, so there is a product for this. I
think I remember that Emerson makes it, but I could be wrong.

Why don't you put *70, (you need the comma) before the dialup phone number?
*70 disables Call Waiting.
