I ahev windows 2000 machine connected to windows 2000 AD
my question is how can I deny any users to rename a executible file to
another name?

Where is the file located, and what NTFS permissions do they have therein?

Just change the NTFS security at its location, and select "deny" for each NTFS "Write" property WinSysBee Support Team http://www.winsysbee.com nntp://news.free.fr/microsoft.public.win2000.group_policy/<[email protected]>

If you have written the program yourself in for instance Visual C, or
indeed most other languages, it is very easy to put in a line of code
that will stop the program if the name is changed - otherwise I think
you may have trouble.
