How to delete "past items"

Hi,
On taskbar and Start Menu Properties (Right click on the taskbar and select
properties) there is the option "hide inactive icons" and to the right there
is a "customise" button. This button opens a list which contains current and
past items. Where are these items? I mean, I could not find this listing in
the registry. Nor is there any folder named "Taskbar". My question is: Where
is this list and how can I remove items from this list?

Here is your answer. Caution, you are changing the registry. Do a backup. I
have used this method many times. It's a little tricky. If any problems,
post back.
