how to delete email w/ pictures too large to send

I sent a few different emails with pictures attached that
I couldn't reduce in size. It caused a log jam and
everytime I click send/receive it tries to send the emails
again. It never succeeds and finally I get an error
message. My outbox is blank. I have unplugged the computer
and I've spoken with my cable provider but Outlook Express
keeps trying to send the emails. I have Windows ME. How do
I get rid of these emails? Hope someone can help me! -C
