How to delete a LOT of duplicate files?

I'm not sure how I did it but I've created duplicate files of ALL the files
in "My Documents" folders. They look something like this: "Frank
Letter.doc, Frank Letter(2).doc; Farmers Let.doc, Farmers Let(2).doc, etc."
There are hundreds of duplicates like this in all the different folders in My
Documents. Is there an easy way of deleting all the duplicate "(2)" files.
Deleting each file individually would take forever.

Thank you for your help. Mike

PS: I may have done this when I had a computer problem a couple of months
ago and "RESTORED" a backup of the "My Documents" folder. I may have
forgotten to check a box that says something about overwriting existing
files, so it restored all the files giving them the "(2)" designation.

Use Search and search for all documents with (2) in the name.
Use Ctrl+A to select them all and delete them when satisfied.

Do you mean something like this:

Thanks everyone, I did the search in My Documents on (2) and deleted them
like you suggested. Worked like a charm.
