How to customize the windows xp compression / extract tool

I play a game called combat mission. I use the windows xp compression wizard rather than PK Zip to compress my turn files and then I send them to a friend of mine. When he sends back compressed files, I use the windows extract function. However, what it always does is it defaults to whatever directory I am trying to dump the files into (say it is a directory called C:\PBEM) into a subdirectory called C:\PBEM\filename. Every time I need to erase the long filename and put it in the directory instead so my game can find it. Doesn't sound like much but I do this 2-3 times / day forever and it is quite annoying. Does anyone know how to customize this so it doesn't default to the directory/filename just the directory

Thanks, Carl

I don't think you can change this behavior, sorry.
