How to customize email link ?

Hi Experts:

When I click on an email link on a web page, it always try to open Outlook.
Is there a way to customize it (some settings in the registry?) so that when
I click an email link, it opens my own email account that I like to use
(hotmail, gmail...)?

The DefaultMail utility, near the bottom of that page, can eliminate a
manual registry edit.

Hotmail:

1a. Restore Hotmail, Outlook and OE under Programs (Line 250, Right)

1b. Select Hotmail here => IE Tools > Options > Programs > Mail...and/or
here => [Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs >] Set Program Access and
Defaults > Mail.
