How to custiomise "Task Panel" color?

Hi!

How do I customise the background color of the task panel? (You know, I mean
the panel on the left side when you have neither the "search" nor the
"folders" panel active).
Using the default blue color scheme (on Windows XP Theme) the task panel is
blue. I would like to have it white or best looking like "Windows Classic"...
Trying to customise the desktop appereance I could not find a color value
that would take effect on that.

TIA

It may be possible tom do this via a Theme. To create a Theme or
modify an existing Theme you need additional software.

If you wanted to do it for free, you would need the patched uxtheme.dll & then you would need to use a resource hacker to modify shellstyle.dll.

You can also purchase StyleBuilder & StyleXP from http://www.tgtsoft.com/ to accomplish what you want.
