I would like to create a "floppy boot diskette" on a usb thumb drive.
- My computer -- which is new hardware (AMD 152 chip) does not have a floppy
drive.
- The BIOS does recognize all the usb ports for booting.
- The BIOS already shows the usb ports as the "First boot device".
So my only need is to make the thumb drive bootable.
My immediate need for this is to be able to update my BIOS with a flash
script, that the instructions say should be put on a bootable floppy.
I tried following instructions from this url given out in another thread:
http://ucsu.colorado.edu/~shaher/Bootable_USB.html
but I accidentally wiped out (fdisk) my second hard disk containing a
solaris installation.
Anybody have an easier way? Thanks.
