We have Access 2003 but our data base has been made with Access 1.x. When we
try to open it with access 2003, the software refuse to do it indicating
"impossible to open a database from access 1.x". Is there any possibility to
convert this database.
Thanks for your help !

If anyone has a better recollection, jump in!

I believe that the only conversion path for an Access version 1.x
application is to version 2.0. << Those two are 16 bit versions.
There is a path from 2.0 to Access 97. From 97 to 200x. Nothing to
it. :-)

Actually, Access 97 will open/convert an Access 1.x database, so it need be
only a two step process.

I happen to have Access 2.0 and 97 still installed; if the data is not
confidential, I'd be willing to convert *the data only* to 2000 format
(which 2003 handles by default). Zip the database and email it to me
at jvinson <at> wysard of info <dot> com (remove the blanks and parse
the punctuation).

The forms, reports, and (especially) Access Basic code may or may not
convert; I'll send whatever it converts, with no guarantee that they
will work!
