How to control Quick Launch bar and Windows Explorer settings?

Hi,

I'm wondering if there's better way to enable/disable the Quick Launch bar
and the Windows Explorer settings for the Default User than using fx. the
Administrator account to set it all up and then copying the profile to
Default User.
I'm not really in favour of using such a method, but if it's the only way....?

I would prefer controlling it via Group Policies (but they can't), or via
the registry for the default user (but doesn't seem likely).

Can anyone tell me the best way - a Microsoft way?

Different computer manufacturers do it differently.
Check your manual and/or contact the manufacturer for the specific procedure
for your computer.

I think you've answered the wrong post here - or I hope.

I'm working on an image for 2000 users. I need to make changes to the
Default User profile as listed in my original post. This has nothing to do
with hardware.
