how to configure norton firewall

hi,
i cannot access internet explorer, or desktop sites (poker sites etc)
apparently this is a firewall problem since i have checked with both
microsoft+ntl,
so how do i allow access to the sites i want,

you will need to be signed in as the administrator(the name you registered
with) if you have set parental control or not click on parental control and
then configure you may need to put in your pass word if chosen to use
one,then there is a box to click allow or bar sites click on this then there
are a choice of options i.e internet /chat etc you should see choices un tick
any boxes that you will see that will prevent using the internet

The best thing to do with any Norton product is to uninstall it
permanently and replace it with something that works.

For firewall protection against intruders consider purchasing a
router, as the NAT protection in these devices functions as a very
effective firewall, or use the Windows XP built-in firewall which is
also very effective in blocking unwanted incoming traffic.

As for concerns about "phoning home" (neither of the above suggestions
blocks unwanted outgoing traffic that is a small risk in my opinion
provided you do have effective antivirus and antispyware software
present.
