Hi

Does any one know how to close unneccessary programs and processes on
Windows XP Home Edition operating system?

Much help appreciated.

Thanks.

Sincerely,
Egan

I usually close programs by clicking on the red 'X' in the upper right corner of the window.

I don't bother with the processes since i don't know enough about them, and actually I'm happier that way. I just keep my computer well maintained and protect it from malware.

A better question is how do you know that a program is unnecessary?

You could try Task Manager by using the control alt delete keys . I am
assuming Home Edition has it. Or try using Process Explorer from
www.sysinternals.com
