How to clear drop downs and edit boxes?

I've deleted the cookies and the tempoary files under Internat Options ->
General.

Yet, when I visit web sites and type in edit boxes, the site still knows my
previous entries. For example, I can see my previous searches at Google.

Can this information be cleared out. If so, how?

This is a potential security problem for me.
