how to clear clipboard

I'm trying to use Clipboard to capture some pics from a slide show. So far,
all I can get is the first one from "Print Screen" into Clipboard.

How do I clear Clipboard for succesive "Print Screen" pics?

I thought so too. But, so far it hasn't worked that way.

What's happening is that end up with repeat copies of the 1st pic in the
series.

Not sure what's happening.

Any way to manually clear Clipboard????

Well, that fixed the one problem very nicely.

Now, I have another.

Seems that the saved pics are solid black images when I open them to view.
Probably operator trouble on my end.

What am I doing wrong? I've tried .bmp, .gif, and .jpg and get the same
results each time. Taking screen shots of slide show pics is the only
application where I've had this problem. Normally screen shot works fine.

They come out OK if I save 'em to Wordpad. Maybe that's what I should do.

RB,

Try this Start|Run... in the list edit box 'Open' type clipbrd and then
press the OK button. This should bring up the 'ClipBook Viewer'. You should
see a tool bar button with a scratchy cross, some like 'X' on it. Tooltip
text will confirm it to be 'Delete'. Pressing this button you will be
prompted as such, "Do you want to clear the contents of the Clipboard?"
Press the 'Yes' button, this should clear the ClipBoard as requested.

HTH

Winux P.

Each time you make a clip, eg with Prt Scr it overwrites what was there
- only one item is held at a time

Get yourself a clipboard manager - I use Clipmate from www.thornsoft.com

The Clipboard does presents something of a security risk.
You might want to change your Internet Zone setting to turn
off the Scripting sub-option:
Allow paste operations via script.
Of course this action changes the zone setting to "Custom"
To test your browser security - visit the following:
http://browsercheck.qualys.com/index.php
They offer a Clipboard test on their checkup site.

Wow! Great info, folks. Thanks for the clipboard manager download
program recommendations. Both look good.

And yes, the thing about clipboard security vulnerability is now slowly
coming back to me, since you jogged my memory.

If I understood the info on the two downloads correctly, they'll work OK
even with my Clipboard scripting turned off. So, that should be the work
around for the security issue, right?
