Stop Excel from clearing clipboard?

How can I stop Excel from clearing the clipboard after I hit return?

When I copy a cell I can paste it in another cell, and then when I
want to do something else, like writing a formula somewher else or
what ever, I have to hit return. Then the clipboard gets erased. So,
if I want to paste again the clipboard is empty.

I'm using excel 2002.

Hello,

Try pasting by pressing 'Ctrl-V' instead of 'Return'.
