Hello, I have a silly question ;-)
How can you check the speed that your cpu is working on? And how can you
check if windows recognise the cpu as dual core?

thx

Hi

Via the BIOS. If you've still got the manual for your mobo, you will be
able to find out which option you need to access for that info.

Right click on My Computer and pick properties. The first screen will tell
you the max speed and the current speed of your CPU. Depending on your CPU
these may be different as some CPUs throttle down to save power and generate
less heat. Next click on the Hardware tab, then the Device manager button.
Click on the plus sign beside Processors. You should see two listed if the
CPU is dual core.

Open System Information...
Start | Run | Type: msinfo32 | Click OK |
Look at Processor. The speed will ba at the end.
