I've made 2 partitions, C and D, and I was planning to use the C-partition
onely for windows XP. But every time I install extra software the setup makes
by default installation-maps on the C-partition. How can I change this
settings???

The short answer is you can't.

The setup path is decided by the application you are installing, not
Windows. In most cases, the setup program asks your PC which drive the
operating system is on, and automatically adjusts itself to match the
partition - the only way to do this would to repackage the installation,
which the application manufacturer would have to do.

There is much technical detail I could go into, but it still wouldn't alter
the fact that you'll have to manually tell the setup program to use D: each
and every time you install something.

Sorry :-(
