How to change Windows back to RAID 1?

I decided to updated the bios on my motherboard and after the bios update I
did not manage to go in the bios set up and change the default settings.

What happened is that Windows booted with the default settings of the bios
(IDE) and my actual set up is supposed to be RAID 1. As a result Windows XP
Pro recognized new hardware (both hard drives as new IDE devices).

I shut down the computer and went to the bios set up and changed from IDE
back to RAID. But now when I try to boot Windows, it does not work because
the computer resets every time I try to boot. Windows is expecting to boot
from an IDE device, but currently there are none, only the RAID (raid 1).

I would like to know if there is a way to solve this problem without having
to re-install Windows XP?

Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance

Windows doesn't know the difference between hardware IDE and RAID using
IDE. It's all drives to windows.

What you need to do is set your BIOS to boot from the RAID instead of
the default IDE.

Most motherboards have settings for RAID for the drive and another
setting for BOOT, so you have to tell the BIOS to boot from the RAID
controller.
