How to change default encoding in IE 6?

C

Charles

Lately, IE 6 has always displayed web pages in Western
European (ISO), which doesn't display the page right. The
pictures are missing, the fonts are messed up,
everything's wrong. Is there any way to change this?
Does it have to do with the default encoding (which I
can't find how to change)? Do I need to mess around in
the registry? Please help.

This article describe your problem.

Pictures Are Not Displayed on Web Sites in Internet
Explorer
A Web page may display an image as a red X, or a
placeholder may appear in place of the image.
Covers also this problem: Web page that is encoded for the
Western European (ISO) code page might not display any
images:

You can change your endoding at
Menu:View/Encoding then change it.
You can try with/without the AutoSelect setting.

If still no joy then try to repair I.E.
Add/REmove programs/MS/IE repair.
