Encoding changes

Is there any way to lock the encoding in IE. It always opens web pages in Unicode (UTF-8).
On My.MSN.com this encoding does not display some text, like the apostrophe (') correctly.
I can change it to Western European (Windows) and the text displays correctly, but the next time I
open the page it is back to Unicode (UTF-8).

You could uncheck Auto-Select but that would probably cause more
problems on other sites.
