How to carry Excel balance on 1 w/s to another?

I am looking to carry a balance on one worksheet to the next. I know that the
$ is used but cannot find the format.

I'm not sure what you want but this formula =Sheet1!B20
typed in an other sheet anywhere will bring the information from Sheet1 cell
B20.
You need to change the variable to your needs.
