Hello to all. I am trying to capture video from a JVC analog camcorder using a Dazzle DVC 80 capture device into Windows Movie Maker
I can capture the video but not the sound. I have set my sound options to use the DVC 80 but that didn't work. I have tried all possible combinations available too me but I still can't capture tha audio with the video.
The DVC 80 came with "MovieStar" software and I can capture both the video and audio portions and then import that project into MovieMaker and it deems to work ok. I thought the MovieMaker would be more counterintuitive too use than the DVC 80 software and more compatable with with my Windows XP home
This seems more complicated than it has too be,and I'm new to this so I'm sure I'm going about this all wrong
What I'm trying too do is transfer home movies from a VHS-C format onto a DVD or DVD+/-RW so I can share them with other family members
Does anyone have any suggestions as to how to make this easier or what I am doing wrong? Also, the wife say's I can't spend anymore money on my computer toys,so I have to use what I've got or find some freeware to do the trick
As always, any and all advice is most welcome especialy since it took me 4 hours to learn how to capture 15 minutes worth of uasble video
Incidentaly, I have 140 GB's of harddrive and 1 GB of ram. I"m using an ATI Radeon 7000 video card w/64 MB of memory and a SoundBlaster Audigy/MP3 24 bit car
on a Dell Dimension 4400 desktop with the aforementioned XP home. The DVC 80 is a USB device. All updates have been applied to both the operating system and I have both "Plus" and "Plus-digital media edition" installed as well as "MovieMaker 2" . I would be glad to provide any additional information that may be needed
Thanks for your tim
