How to block photos in an e-mail

If you are worried about webbugs, get SpamPal and its HTML-Modify
plug-in (all free, no banners, no crippling, not demoware, not
trialware). It will, by default, change the <IMG> tag so that
externally linked images won't get rendered in an HTML-formatted
document (i.e., they don't get retrieved). However, embedded or inline
images still get displayed because they have no link back to any server.
If you want to remove ALL images, HTML-Modify also has an option to
disable all harmless images, too (harmless in not being webbugs, not in
their content as you perceive emotional or morals harm).
