How to be able to remotely access my windows 2000 professional des

Can anyone tell me how do I setup my windows 2000 professional desktop to be able to access from a remote client. Do I have to install terminal Services or do I hv to create a new ''Accept New Connection'' on the Network Settings?

I used my machine winxp, private IP 192.168.1.57, as a gateway for remote web desktop access, since I have install tsweb and forward my router to point to this machine. I have also enabled a few other machine running on winxp to enabled remote access.

When I tried to access the tsweb from home to the office, I could only get to the Tsweb webpage, and when type in the machine name or IP address of the PC in the private network in the office, it says it could not find the server.

BUt when I access these winxp machine desktop internally from office via tsweb, I could get in without problem,.

Could anyone be able to help. Very much appreciated.
