I don't understand....

If you click on File, Backup ...

Then you have installed the PFBACKUP add-in because that is what adds that
menu item.

OK - so you are correct - that add-in is in there - but I did not install
it.
So could you explain more about these add-ins and how they get there -
Thanks !

Is this a work PC?

No it's my home PC and I have total control of it - or so I thought !!!
In fact it's three PCs that I have - two have OUTLOOK 2003 and one has
OUTLOOK 2007 - they all have this backup option.

PFBACKUP simply doesn't come with Outlook. Although you don't remember it,
you must have downloaded it somewhere along the way and installed it. Open
%ProgramFiles%\Microsoft Office\Office10\AddIns and check the modified date
of outbak.dll ("10" may be "11" or "12" as well) and see when it was
installed. If you updated the Outlook 2007 system from some earlier version
of Outlook, it could have been carried over by the update and that's why you
don't recall installing it.

I DEFINITELY did NOT install it.
I have only had 2007 installed for a few months, and even in my older age, I
would remember !

I downloaded and installed "pfbackup.exe" but cant get it to do anything!
When I click the Backup command it tells me that there are no files set for
backup. I must be doing something wrong but I have followed the instructions
carefully. Help!

Click Options first and select a folder set.

Yes - but it tells me there that there are no personal folder files open -
even though they are clearly visible in the Folder list. That's why I am so
confused.

Well, the original message is lost in obscurity because someone named
"Patrick" responded to the original thread as a new post instead of as a
reply, so I don't know who started the original.

And you didn't aswer my question. Are you using Exchange?

My Microsoft Office 2007 installation does not appear to have a menu
selection called 'Save My Settings Wizard' in Microsoft Office Tools. Where
can I get it from please?
