How to automatically bold caption labels?

Chris A.

Is there a way to bold the caption labels automatically while leaving the
caption description untouched?

Example:
[bold]Figure 3.1:[/bold] This is a figure.

I just want Word do bold the label part without me having to manually highly
the label and click Bold every time.

No ... but simply insert the label, then press CTRL+B before typing the
description directly into the document.

Thanks. I just wish there was some way to automate it for really large
documents since I might forget to press CTRL+B when working with a lot of
figures.

You could also press CTRL+B in the caption dialog before typing the
description there (or select the text and click CTRL+B), but I cannot think
of any way to press it for you ;)
