Best resource for you is to use XP's Help and search for "file
associations" and you'll find generic step-by-step instructions already
available to you which you can apply for Adobe Photoshop.
right click any jpg file, select open with..click choose program..select
photoshop from the list, if its not listed click browse and select it that
way. Check the box that says Always use the selected program to open this
kind of file
