How to archive Outlook Express Folders

My notebook computer will go in for service soon, and I'd like to save my OE
Address book, and all the message folders as well as their contents, to
restore to it when it comes back from a rather major overhaul.

How can this be done? I have a CD-writer in the system, so should be able to
copy rather large files without difficulty.

I'll need to know where to find these files, and what to do with them when
the computer comes back with Windows XP Pro reinstalled on it, to get them
back into OE.

I suspect the CPU may need replacement. An intermittent error keeps coming
up rather randomly, and that's what it seems to boil down to.

you can backup your address book by doing a search for *wab files. pick
the one that shows the book icon and send it to cd or floppy.

In addition, export these four keys:

Go to Start/Run/Regedit and locate the following 4 branches of the Registry:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Identities
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Account Manager
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Outlook Express
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\WAB\WAB4\Wab File Name

I'll admit it - messing with Regedit scares me a little.
But thanks anyway. Hopefully I'll be able to do a "dry run" with this before
I send in the notebook.
