How to apply transition to multiple photos

Could someone please please help me out here. I am looking for a simple
feature, I just want to apply a transition to more than one photos without
going to the pain of applying the transition again and again for each photo.
I just can't imagine if it can't be done.

Yes, I am asking about PhotoStory3. I can't imagine how Microsoft could miss
such a important and simple feature. Consider this sitiation, I want to make
a photoStory of say 100 photos. Now I will have to repeate same steps 100
times just because I don't like their default boring settings.
It would have been so great if there were copy or multiple photo
selection feature for applying transitions etc...
