How to add an item into the available file types on the desktop's right click menu?

Hi,

On the XP desktop, if you right click an empty spot, you will have a popup
menu. There is a menu item "New". That's where you can create a new
folder, shortcut, document, etc. My question is, how to add an entry, say
MS Works, into the New's available types. Could you help? Thanks.
