How to accept meeting for which calendar

We have Outlook 2003.
My husband and I each have different emails that go into different Outlook
folders. I'd like to keep two different calendars. I set up a separate
calendar folder for him, but my question is: When I get a meeting request, I
accept it and it goes into the main calendar. Why he gets one, how do you
accept it so that it goes into the secondary calendar? We need to have
separate ones because we sync to our blackberry's and he needs his calendard
in his and I need mine on mine. I've looked around help and in the forum, but
can't seem to solve it.

We have been doing that, but the problem is that my husband never remembers
to close the one and open his. I figured this would be easier with the
calendar just right up there in the corner. Is that really the only way to
accept meeting requests into a calendar?

PDA typically won't sync with anything other than the "default" calendar.

If I were you, I'd use a separate mail profile for each of you. This will
give you completely distinct Outlook experiences. You'll have your own
folders and he'll have his. Each of your handheld devices will sync with
your own profile and keep your calendars separate.

I've already been able to set up the synch to synch with that separate
calendar. The only stumbling block is how to accept meeting requests into
that calendar. It seems like there would be a way to do that. It seems like
those additional calendars wouldn't be limited only to items you type
directly into there. But may that's the case?

Instead of accepting them, use File>Move to Folder. Accept (or Save and
Close) always stores to the default calendar.
