how stop page from centering when dragging using zoom & draw

Microsoft Word (2002)

If I open draw and zoom to 200% then left click on an object to drag to a
different location on the page the page seems to center itself.

How can I prevent the page from centering when I left click to drag an
object while in 200% zoom? In other words, I would like for the page to stay
where it is when I left click to drag an object.

I don't think there's anything you can do to change the behavior. You might try
using Ctrl+X to cut to the clipboard, then Ctrl+V to paste instead of dragging.
