How SP4 information reflect in AD

I want to extract information such as operating system,
version #, service pack etc., on all computers listed in
AD. What utility or script will provide me with this
information? I used csvde -- seems like I do not have
updated information on service pack. some of my 2000 WS
seems to be registered to have SP2, but in reality these
are computers with SP3. when we update SP, doesn't it
refelct in AD?
 
The sp level of a box is not stored in AD. You can use WMI
scripting to get this data from clients.
