how set default to move up through unread mail?

I want the movement of opening unread mail to move from oldest up to the next
oldest. The unread are sorted newest at top. I want to read the oldest,
then progress upward to next oldest.
 
just reverse the sorting order on the "read" field by clicking on it
if you miss it, put it on by click&drag from the field chooser
open the field chooser in the context menu by rightclick on the field headers
