How put a title on a slide in PowerPoint?

Apparently I can put a title on a slide by going to the CHART MENU and
following PowerPoint HELP instructions on how to put a title on a slide.
However, I cannot find CHART MENU anywhere. Where is it? Alternatively, how
do I put a title on a slide in PowerPoint without CHART MENU?

Do you need to put a slide title on the slide, or are you trying to add a
title to a chart?

Which version of PPT are you using, and what keywords did you type in? It
sounds as if you may have gotten some really odd results, and I'd like to
kick them over to MS so the Help file can be fixed if necessary.

Charts sort of live in their own little world within PowerPoint. They can have
their own titles, independent of any title text on the slide itself.

As you've found, you can do this via the Chart menu. That's only visible when a
chart is "active" for editing; you have to doubleclick the chart and then
you'll see the Chart menu.

Or you can just draw a text box on the slide, add your text and then format and
position it however you like.
