How prevent folders from expanding subfolders

I'm using Explorer with the folder navigation panel along the left
side. When I click on a folder, it expands the folder tree to show
the subfolders contained therein. This differs from Windows 2000
behaviour, where you have to click right on the plus sign beside the
folder to expand it. I can't find a switch in Tools->Options->View to
specify the latter behaviour. If you know of how this can be
achieved, thanks if you could post it.

Go back to the View tab in Folder Options and uncheck "Display
simple folder view in Explorer's Folders list".

Good luck

Thanks, Nepatsfan. Works great. Can't believe I waited so long to
ask.
