How many music files?

I have created a slide show with 28 slides. On slide number 23 I am
inserting the 8th sound file - music - mostly midis, but a couple of wavs
(file sizes range from 3 to 36 kb) When it gets to this slide, if there is
a music file (I've tried several) the animations stop working. I've
completely recreated the show and the same thing happened on the completely
new show. When I delete that slide entirely it runs fine for three slides
until the next music file is inserted, then it gives me the same problem.
Any suggestions?

Hi,

I had a similar experience recently. I determined it was
the midi files. I converted them to mpg's and everything
played happily.

I used MID Converter from: www.midconverter.com
Very inexpensive and easy to use.

There is a free music converter--the dBpowerAmp--that is available here:
http://www.dbpoweramp.com/dmc.htm.

I have used it to convert music files, and to reduce the size of wav files
by changing the formats to radio quality. However, I have never tried
converting midi files with it. I wonder if there is a free midi converter
out there.
