How many computers can I install MS Office on?

Our office is set up with 4 different desktops and are running three
different types of operating systems (MS-98,ME,& Xp). We've purchased a CD
of MS Office 2003 (mostly for PowerPoint) and want to load it on all our
machines. The software states that there is a maximum number of computers
one may load the software onto before it "refuses" to accept any more users.
Does anyone know the maximum number of machines this can be loaded onto
before the CD disintegrates like a "Mission Impossible" tape?

Hi.

Don't worry. The CD doesn't self-destruct. You may load Microsoft Office
2003 on as many computers as you have purchased licenses for. For example,
if you purchased three licenses, then you may load Microsoft Office 2003 on
three computers. There is a provision for laptop use which allows a copy of
Microsoft Office 2003 to be loaded on both the primary desktop computer and
the secondary laptop, presumably because the user can only use one computer
at a time. (Please read the EULA for full details.) In any case, the
software must be activated after installation to ensure that the software
isn't loaded on too many computers.

However, in your case, even if you have purchased numerous licenses, you may
only load and use Microsoft Office 2003 on the Windows XP computers. The
computers with the Windows 98 and ME operating systems cannot support
Microsoft Office 2003. For the system requirements of Microsoft Office
2003, please see the following Web page:

How many licenses did you purchase? The max. number of installations is the
same as the number of licenses you purchased.

The CD won't disintegrate but you won't only be able to activate the "extra"
installations and these will stop working or at least restricted after the
grace period of 60(???) days.

BTW, I don't think O2003 works with Win98 or WinME. See:
