We've setup a Group Policy to configure Auto-Archive on some of our Outlook
2007 systems. We've configured it to "Run Auto-Archive every 1 day"

We've logged on to a test system and the Archive settings are all correct
but left on it's own, Archiving hasn't happened yet. When, by default, will
the first Auto-Archive run?

How do you know that autoarchive hasn't run? If you open the archive PST,
does it contain the standard complement of folders?

It should run as configured on the period designated in Archive options
Does an Archive 'now' run?
Every day seems, on the face of it, a little extream

I would think a *.pst file would be created. Looking at the Outlook client
folder list, theres not an Archive folder created yet. I could force it to
run but I'm trying to see how long before it runs on its own.

Yes, that's what I'm thinking. If I have it set at every 1 day, does it start
it's first run right away or wait 24 hours?

The archive is not neccessarily added to the data file list by default
Within Outlook, File>Open>Data file.........does an Archive pst exist? that
can be added

Archive folders don't always appear in the folder list. Did you configure
archiving to display the folders?
