How Long ago was the GPMC was release?

Hello,
could someone let me know how ago was the Group Policy Management Console
has been around?
Was release a little after Windows 2000 was released? what year
approximately?

IIRC it was release in 2003.
If I'm wrong I'm sure someone will correct me <g> :)
