How is Hitachi's hard drive quality?

Hi All,

I was looking at a Hitachi 500 Gigabyte PATA
hard drive for a particular backup application.
Anyone have any experience with their quality?

Not had any problems with the two SATA drives I have.
Also use one of their external USB drives.
 
I have not had any problems with them either and I've 2 I believe.

Western Digital on the other hand I always seem to have trouble with.
