How insert e-mail address in reply using Outlook rules & templates

I wish to use rules to selectively to send out an an acknowledgement of
thanks. When I create the rule Outlook allows me to create a file with and
..oft extension. How do I retain the subject matter from the original e-mail
and the e-mail address (the e-mail address is unlikely to be in the address
book)? Any ideas? Thanks, David ([email protected])

Outlook's reply rule action simply doesn't work that way. You'd have to use a different rule action -- "run a script" -- and write VBA code to create the reply message and insert your reply text.
