How I can send messages to my colleague in small office network

Hi,
How I can send messages to my colleague using windows xp and small office
network, our computers are connected with each other via router. Is there any
command if I will write any thing it will appear in his screen? Please answer
me ASAP.

Check out this piece of software called Tonic. It works like internet
instant messengers but it does not go on line in just talks to other
computers on your network with the software installed.

Here are some ideas, not in any particular order...

Winchat... Go to Start -> Run and type winchat at the command line.

Net send... Go to Help and Support and search on the string net send for the
proper syntax.

MS Portrait... You can call direct IP to IP and chat or do audio chat...

Best is to use Net send command from the run menu.
The syntax goes like this. net send computername or IPaddress "message"

message must be enclosed in quotes as shown.

But for this to work the messenger service of the machine where you want to
send msg. must be be started, because to receive the messenger service must
be started.
