Hard Drive failure is something which is very much a reality and every computer user must keep that in mind. Many suffer due to it, in the sense that they do not take care of the data and loose it in the process. Two hard drives are better than one in a single system and the data can be stored on both so that if one fails the other one is there safe and sound.

Interesting - seeing as one of the disks in my array seems to be on a permanent SMART immediate failure warning...!

Well its working fine!! Its just giving me loads of warnings... if i was to un-install the program thats chucking them at me then i wouldnt think anything was wrong!

Dont think you can get these drives any more though, and for RAID0 they gotta be the same.
