how good are old high end scanner

I just get a 8 year old scanner for near $25
(HP scanjet 4570c)
It is an USB2 scanner, so scanning is not very slow like USB1

I'm just curious, how good this scanner is ? Can I compare with modern cheap
scanner?

It probably depends a lot on how clean it's been kept. You can read
