2.2mbps. (fast but never quite fast enough ;))

thing that annoys me is that i never have downloaded something at 2.2mbps. maximum i have seen it is 180kb/second.

It should be about 120 per Mb

If you have a 2meg line you will average or should average 150 to 200

So thts about right depending on the server you are connecting to

If you have a 1 meg you should be getting around 118kb to 122kb, if 2 meg it should be 230kb to 242kb that is the maximum speed and obviously dependant on how fast the servers are that you are downloading from.....

Upload speed is greatly reduced....

Actually mine is 2.2Mbm broadband, so i guess it will go under the 8mb part.

I'm on Telewest Blueyonder cable 4MB service, and have to say the service has been impressive.

According to the speed test above, I'm getting 3.8Mbps downstream and 0.3Mbps upstream, which is pretty good :thumb:

i did have 2meg which should be 8 by now but good old BT are taking their time sorting my line out :mad:

ive got a 4Mb connection from Telewest. Trying to get my rents to upgrade to 10Mb but they arent having any of it. Shame really

ntl eventually upgraded me to 2mb, no download limit and from most of europe i get 190+, highest ive seen is 260 ish, from a server in derby

BT got their fingers out of their a*** and im now pushing 4.5Mb :D

Up to 8 mbs (a test revealed that we achieve 6 mbs)
That, combined with super speedy K-meleon browser keeps me happy enough

Edit: ISP is Nildram, BTW
